Latest Update: P.P. Prabodh Swamiji is coming to Berlin in June 2025.
Mostly all prominent festivals are celebrated in the temple and other centres to cultivate the religious sanskars in the society; few of them are briefly described here.
The bright half of the ninth day of the month chaitra is the day on which Lord Ram and Lord Swaminarayan incarnated on earth.
The poet Kalidas has written, ‘Utsavapriyah khalu manavah,’ meaning people are fond of festivals. Festivals are a unique characteristic of Aryan culture. Every year, during the rainy season of Ashadh and Shravan months, the Hindola festival is celebrated. Until the second day of the waning moon in Ashadh, saints and devotees create artistic Hindolas in temples. After the evening Aarti, Thakorji (Lord) is placed in the Hindola, and Hindola hymns are sung and the swing is swayed with devotion. The Hindola of God holds great significance during Chaturmas. Various Hindolas are decorated in temples to lovingly please God. The Hindola is an opportunity for devotees to swing with affection.
In the village of Vadtal, Nishkulanand Swami created a beautiful twelve-doored Hindola, in which Shriji Maharaj, assuming twelve forms in the twelve doors, swung and wholeheartedly accepted the devotion of the saints.
Gurupurnima is a pillar of Hindu Dharma, Its culture and civilization have thrived for thousands of years due to the continuous blessings of great saints and sages. They protected and evolved Hindu Values, instilling them in each new generation, making Hindu Dharma a living religion as relevant today as it was a millennium ago. In the divine presence of P.P. Swamiji and P.P. Prabodh Swamiji, all saints and devotees perform Gurupujan with devotion. Nearly 25,000 people visit the temple for darshan and blessing of H. H. HariprasadSwamiji and H. H. Prabodh Swamiji.
Hindus through out the world celebrate Diwali. It is a time for rejoining and giving. But more important, it is a time to awaken and reinforce our spiritual mission.
The Diwali period is celebrated by a series of festival days each with its own special significance and each providing an opportunity to introspect and progress spiritually.
